Ground School

The next class begins in 8 January 2018!

We will be offering a Private Pilot Ground School course, beginning 8 January 2018. The classes will be held 6-9pm on Monday and Wednesday nights, and continue for 12 weeks.

Even if you have not signed up for the course before the first day, are welcome to attend the first class for FREE. This first night will include an overview of the course, and what it takes to become a Private Pilot!

Learn all the required knowledge to pass the FAA Written Exam, a major step to earn your Private Pilot Certificate. This FAA Part 141 Approved ground training course follows the syllabus and training manual from Jeppesen, a leader in aviation training materials.

This class is a great way to get started with flight lessons. Ask your instructor for details.

 

We do ask that you contact us before the first class, so that we have enough extra chairs placed in the room.

The cost of the course is $275, and books will be $75 additional.

Purchase the Cessna Flight training kit with us, and get a $155 discount on the cost of the ground school. Ask on the first day of class about any scholarships that may be available.

Drone Class

The Part 107 Drone Pilot Course is 17 March 2018!

Benton Air Center has partnered with well known Drone University USA, based in Sacramento, CA to offer a 1 day training course to prepare you for passing your FAR 107 Remote Pilot licensing exam.

Here at Benton, you will receive personal instruction from Drone University USA CEO, Barry Morris, who was awarded the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) Flight Instructor Excellence Award 3 years in a row.

Mr. Morris is a CFI/MEI and a licensed Remote Pilot with over 5,200 hours in over 35 different types of single and multi engine manned aircraft, has owned and operated his own flight school and was Chief Instructor for a Part 141 flight academy at Sacramento Executive Airport. He is a regular speaker at UAS events around the country and has graduated hundreds of 107 Remote Pilots through Drone University USA’s highly successful program. This exclusive training class will teach you much more than just the information you need to pass your 107 test, that’s just the beginning.

  • Buddy was a baby in an orphanage who stowed away in Santa's sack and ended up at the North Pole. Later, as an adult human who happened to be raised by elves, Santa allows him to go to New York City to find his birth father, Walter Hobbs. Hobbs, on Santa's naughty list for being a heartless jerk, had no idea that Buddy was even born. Buddy, meanwhile, experiences the delights of New York City (and human culture) as only an elf can. When Walter's relationship with Buddy interferes with his job, he is forced to reevaluate his priorities.

Private Pilot Ground School Starts 8 January 2018

Class is Instructor Led. Two nights a week, 6-9pm!

13 week class – Every Monday and Wednesday nights; Tuition $275

Want to learn to fly? Obtain your FAA Private Pilot Certificate at Benton Air Center. This Class covers all the subject areas required to learn to fly and successfully pass the FAA Written Exam. Tuition is $275 plus books ($85) for the 13 week class. Class meets every Monday and Wednesday Class (6-9pm) for 13 weeks. Course is instructor led in our Training Room.

Come to the first night's class for FREE, which is an overview of the flight training process and review the approximate costs to obtain your Private Pilot Certificate.

Garmin 430 User's Class

(good to know if you are flying YY or one of our complex aircraft):

Hands On Class covering all aspects of using the Garmin 430 for VFR and IFR flight. Fully functioning Garmin 430 Simulator to practice with, and follow the lessons with hands on use.
